live in your own skin.
As a California based documentary and portrait photographer, I use introspection and observation to notice and document unposed joy. Often capturing a child-like nostalgia and the gumption to be weird, quirky, or funny, my photos serve as a reminder that there is joy, love, and humor to be found in all of life. My work inspires others to appreciate each other and seek happiness from being who they truly are and living in their own skin and all it’s been through, no matter how young or old.
It took me a long time to figure out how to live in my own skin. The older I get the more I realize how lucky I am and how to embrace happiness and joy and spread it wherever I can. Life is too short to stop singing bad 80’s pop to my husband and kids and dancing in the kitchen for no reason.
“enjoy the struggles as much as the joys. neither will last forever.”

love
take photos of those you love.
My Grandmother was my favorite person on the planet. She taught me strength, patience, how to cook, she was the only one who I would let brush my hair, and she always had bubble gum for me when I was a kid. I only wish I had photographed her more.

unexpected
there’s always more to the story.
When it comes to recognizing reality, there’s more than meets the eye. Nothing is only what it looks like on the surface and what I love about photography is finding what’s really under that skin. It’s always better and more surprising than you’d think at first glance.

legacy
everyone has a legacy.
There’s nothing better than hearing someone’s history. Listening to stories makes the best photos. My favorite thing about photographing people is getting to know them in the process, learning who they are, and hearing about their life.
